Hertlin House
Hertlin House, a non-profit rental housing option, offers seniors in and around the Lake Ronkonkoma area of Long Island a premium retirement lifestyle that redefines independence. Hertlin House was built on land donated by Lillian Hertlin, an honorary Aging in America Community Service board member, who chose to live at Hertlin House after seeing it completed. It is the only true independent senior lifestyle option in that community and while the majority of residents are in their 80’s, they are active, social and independent.
The surrounding 14 wooded acres provide each apartment with a spectacular view as well as walking paths and sitting areas surrounded by gardens filled with song birds. Residents can also enjoy meals on the outdoor patios or entertain family and friends in the Terrace Restaurant.
The activity calendar often overflows to a second page offering everything from religious services, exercise class, trips to area markets, wine and cheese socials, computer classes, card games, movies, opera trips chorus practice or ice cream socials. There is something for everyone at Hertlin House.
