DIRECTOR OF CLINICAL EDUCATION Director of Clinical Education will plan, implement, and evaluate
initial orientation and on-going educational experiences for
nurses/C.N.A.'s; recommend resources essential to meeting the objectives
of clinical education; direct and coordinate NYS-approved C.N.A.
training program; coordinate clinical experiences for college Nursing
students using Morningside House for their clinical rotations; supervise
graduate student nurses; participates in quality assurance activities;
maintains records and reports for all Nursing department activities;
assists in revising/developing policies and procedures pertaining to
clinical education; maintains own professional competence through
attendance at continuing educational programs, seminars, etc.; implement
additional responsibilities as designated by VP of Nursing or
Administrator, including but not limited to A/I investigations and
MDS-related activities; and all other duties assigned by the VP of
Nursing and/or Administrator. NYS RN license, at least 3 years in
supervisory role in clinical education, and BSN degree required, Masters
degree preferred.
