Adult Day Care Services Our Adult Day Health Care Programs in the Bronx and Westchester provide monitored medical care and social stimulation for seniors who need interaction during the day. The staff in our medical model specialize in caring for those with Alzheimer’s and related illnesses in a safe and motivating environment.
Our social model offers an array of interactive activities for those seniors who may feel isolated and would prefer the company of others during the day while family members work or have additional responsibilities.
Services include door to door transportation, RN coordinated care, physical and occupational therapy, primary medical and psychiatric care, vision, dental and podiatry, and activities such as movement therapy, intergenerational programs, music and entertainment, gardening and participation in community events. The individuals in our program receive outstanding care, meals, medication administration, physical and occupational therapy, nutrition oversight and medical services as necessary including escorts to medical appointments.
Our Adult Day Health Care Program was the first to offer psychiatric services in the Bronx, a benefit to both the individual and the family. An additional benefit is the counseling we provide to family members to address pressing issues, express their concerns or receive assistance with obtaining in-home services or other care giving options.
The staff at both the Bronx and Westchester programs is carefully selected to ensure their understanding of the special requirements of those attending the program. Both programs offer flexible hours and weekend accommodations providing family members with additional opportunities for assistance.
